Hofburg Castle was the official residence of the Austrian rulers for centuries. Today, it belongs to the area of the third district, from where you can quickly reach the center itself, which speaks of how much Vienna itself has expanded in the past three hundred years. . The palace and its interior are in Rococo style and today it is used for holding important conferences and awards. . The Belvedere Palace also houses a permanent exhibition of paintings by the most famous Austrian painters from the 19th 19. and 20th centuries.
An important symbol of the power and beauty of Austria and Vienna is Schönbrunn Castle, which was built as a counterpart to the great Versailles.
Built in the middle of the 16th century, with 1441 rooms, the castle served as a summer residence for the heads of the Habsburg Monarchy. The famous Napoleon stayed in that castle two hundred years ago during his visit. The palace was also a favorite of the great empress Maria Theresa, who happily listened to six-year-old Mozart in one of the numerous rooms.
Schönbrunn is also home to the oldest zoo in the world, founded in 1752 .

Schönbrunn Zoo is one of the largest in the world with the most varied contents. If you have a little more money and imagination, you can also rent parts of the garden for conferences or, say, a romantic dinner in the room with the aquarium.
Of the more modern buildings, Vienna can certainly be proud of its impressive office buildings as well as the United Nations building. The most picturesque is certainly the Hundertwasserhaus, which is irresistibly reminiscent of Gaudi’s masterpieces in terms of creativity and lucidity. Built in the mid-eighties according to the design of Friedrich Hundetwasser, it is one of the greatest architectural and artistic features of Vienna. Today, it is home to numerous artists and painters.
